The three awards, presented by Jim Litten, president of F.C. Tucker Company, were as follows:
Fred C. Tucker Sr. Award
Ed Gallagher, manager of the F.C. Tucker Keystone office, was awarded the Fred C. Tucker Sr. award for exemplifying the high standards and time-honored traditions initiated by the company’s founder, Fred C. Tucker Sr. Gallagher has served on and chaired several committees at MIBOR and has generously given many hours of time and energy not only to MIBOR but also to many agents throughout Indianapolis. In presenting the award, Jim Litten, president of F.C. Bud Tucker Volunteer of the Year Award
F.C. Tucker Company sales associate Olga Keegan was awarded the 2011 Bud Tucker Volunteer of the Year Award, the company’s highest annual honor for volunteer service in the community. The award is named in honor of Fred Tucker’s father, who was deeply committed to serving the community. In presenting the award, former F.C. Tucker President Fred Tucker said, “Olga has been an inspiration to our entire office with her devotion to others and the groups that help support those in need.”
Keegan, a sales associate with the F.C. Tucker Company’s Carmel office, was recognized for her volunteer efforts with the Association of International Women, Lemonade Day, the International Center, and Ambassador Parent Club – all organizations which give back and build a better community.
Special Recognition Service Award
This special award was created specifically for Kelly Lavengood, a sales associate in F.C. Tucker’s Keystone office. Lavengood was recognized for “above-and-beyond service to mankind” for her involvement with several organizations, including the Damien Center and Australian Shepherd Rescue, which involves some adoption events and performing a home visit for prospective owners. She also consistently donates 5 percent of her real estate closings to her client’s charity of choice. And last February, she, without hesitation, offered to become a kidney donor to her friend’s wife and, within a few months, was able to complete the gift. She not only gave one person a new lease on life, but she also inspired others to do the same.
