Indiana fire departments receive $1.1 million in grants

Dick Lugar was notified today that 15 Indiana fire departments will receive funds from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program totaling $1,100,202. 14 fire departments received grants for operations and safety and the Schererville Fire Department received a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grant

February 12, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar office was notified today that six Indiana fire departments will receive funds from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program totaling $384,052.
